We had, as of the time this listing began, 7 original condition 2-bulb packs of this item, all in identical appearance to the one boxed item used here as a "photo model" that fairly represents the shelf-ready condition of all others on this listing:

That number of pairs of bulbs has now been decreased, in case you didn't notice the automatic "counter" that ebay displays near the top of a listing that will decrease the amount showing after each purchase.
We do a continuity test on every bulb we ship to ensure that the filament inside each bulb is intact.  Because these are red coated bulbs this is the only certain way (other than actually putting these into a fixture and seeing if they light up -- but every time you hit an "off" bulb with a surge of electricity by turning it "on", you're decreasing its lifespan) that we can ship you these items not only believing them to be brand new, but also knowing that they will work.
These are "Regular Service" quality and typically used for calling attention to alarms and directional signs.
Each separately packaged box of 2 lamps consists of an outer slip cover and an inner sleeve, where the 2 bulbs are packed facing in opposite directions with a diagonal "separator" keeping the bulbs from touching each other to decrease the risk of breakage.  This used to be the standard way that light bulbs were packed, before the era of the LED meant that more break-resistant plastic could now be used for the "bulb".  There is no outer wrapping on these items or anything that secures the inner sleeve, holding the bulbs, within the outer slip cover.  That is why we have listed this under eBay's "New" condition category, rather than as "Open Box".
Note that the first photo shows the outer "sleeve" used in this packaging, plus the inner "bulb holder".  those two items make up a single "unit" here consisting of 2 bulbs plus their retail packaging.  In other words, though you may see two "objects" in the first listing photo, those slide together to make up a single retail package which is the "unit of sale" in this listing.

Please note that we have 4 other boxes of 2 lamps each that are from the same lot as these and in the same design of packaging, but not as good looking as the one you see here.  Those are not part of that listing.  We intend to list them separately soon as a single lot consisting of all 4 of those other boxes of 2 lamps each (total of that lot will be 8 individual lamps sold as a group) that are not part of this listing.
Please also note that for items like this which are of low weight in relation the size of the packaging, the cost to ship makes up a high percentage of our costs in running this auction.  For example, if we ship via USPS First Class Mail, our cost to ship a single box of 2 lamps to most parts of the USA beyond the West Coast will be to .  The first such item we sold was shipped to Newark NJ at a cost of .85 for just 8 ounces, including the item, the bubble wrap around the item, and the shipping carton.  We will therefore only be flexible in pricing if you buy 2 or more of these boxes of 2 lamps each at a time, since if we save by paying less to ship several together, we can afford to take a bit less in purchase price

And also please note that eBay has advised us that if you make a purchase based on a "Best Offer" (either through an offer or counter offer made by you, or as a result of your accepting a counter offer from us) for 2 or more of these boxed pairs, the otherwise automatic quantity discount will not apply.  In other words, choose either "Best Offer", or get the quantity discount; you can't get both discounts applied regarding the same item bought through this listing.
"BEST OFFER" TIPS:
If you want to offer us less than our full "Buy It Now" price, here are some tips about when and why we'd make such a deal with a buyer:  We have certain fixed costs ( to just to ship a single one of these boxed items if sent via USPS First Class Mail; over to ship just one boxed item via USPS Priority Mail; plus ebay fees and what we paid to get these to resell).  There is also time and effort involved.  So while you might like to buy a single one of these boxed pairs for say , with us paying to ship, we simply can't afford to do that.  But if you offer to buy several at once, we are willing consider accepting less than our posted Buy It Now price. And if you buy more than 4 at once, we'd likely save even more on shipping; and the closer you are to us in Northern California, the less it might cost us to ship.  Thus, it is possible that we would turn down an offer for just one, that we might accept as the per-item price when you buy several; and the same dollar amount of an offer (total) that we'd reject if the buyer wanted the shipment to go to New York State, might be accepted by us if the buyer wanted them shipped to Southern California. (Sorry, these are too inexpensive, unless you bought a whole lot of these from us, for us to consider agreeing to a "free local pickup" even if you bought at least two.)  So keep ideas like those in mind when you decide, if making an offer, how much to offer per item.
RETURNS IN GENERAL

Please be sure to save all shipping and packing materials (box, padding, etc.) for the length of the potential return period, in the event a return is to take place.  If you have any questions at all about the condition of the materials, however, please contact us first to confirm that we would authorize you to re-use those materials in returning an item to us, since sometimes those materials get chewed up enough during initial delivery that they need to be repaired or replaced before being re-used.
NO-FAULT RETURNS
:  30 calendar day return time, running from date of first attempt at delivery by the chosen shipper to your ebay verified shipping address, if you return these for any or no reason in the same condition as sent, at your expense.  However, if you do something that causes one of these to fail in use, e.g., if you spill your drink onto one of these and it explodes, or shorts out and dies, that is a good example of something that would not qualify as a "NO-FAULT RETURN".
CLAIMED SELLER FAULT RETURNS:
Ebay lets you return almost anything within 30 days after receiving it, if what was purchased is not what the listing represented it to be, no matter what limitations a seller may try to put on the reasons for return (and many do).  Please see exact details as provided by eBay at the top of this listing.  To the extent that ebay allows it, you must use a shipping class and type that costs no more than what we used to ship your item(s) to you.
WE SHIP QUICKLY AFTER PAYMENT:
Our commitment on this sale is to get your item(s) to the shipper within one business day after payment is completed.  And if a buyer is able to get payment completed by 11am California time on a non-holiday weekday (Mondays through Fridays), we are often able to ship the same day as paid.  We may ship the same day as paid even if paid later, but the later in the day payment is made, the less likely same day shipment will take place.  Depending on circumstances at this end and what shipment method applies, we may even be able to do "same day as paid" shipping on a Saturday, though our local USPS (highly likely the method and location of where and how we ship) closes at 4pm Saturdays (vs. 5pm on weekday business days).
Since only one person here takes care of shipping (and just about anything else), we can't literally promise same-day-as-paid shipping, since things can always "come up" to prevent that.
We do however ship the same day as paid when we can, especially when it comes to relatively small size shipping packages, and our feedback shows that our customers appreciate the extra effort.
FREE "ECONOMY CLASS" SHIPPING (MEANS YOU MIGHT GET A FREE UPGRADE TO FASTER SERVICE):
eBay defines "Economy Class" as meaning a shipping service that is supposed to get a buyer's item to them within 10 business days after being given to the shipper by the ebay seller (which we would do within 1 business day after payment was completed).  We will pick from several carriers that will commit to delivering your item(s) to you at least that quickly, based on whichever method costs us the least.  And if that means choosing Priority Mail (which ebay categorizes as "Expedited" shipping, meaning we'd ship within 1 business day after payment and the item should be delivered to you within 3 business days thereafter; the closer you are to our San Francisco Bay Area location, the more likely this may apply to you), or FedEx Ground or FedEx Home Delivery (which eBay categorizes as "Standard" shipping, meaning we'd ship within 1 business day of payment date and the item should be delivered to you within 5 business days thereafter), when doing so is less expensive than using a slower service such as "FedEx SmartPost" (defined by ebay that only satisfies ebay's "Economy" class shipping standards

We aren't 'tax experts', but what we think the above basically means is that if you buy something on ebay that you would have had to pay sales tax on, if you'd bought it instead from a local store like a Best B
uy
store, etc., in your state, ebay might now add your state's sales tax to your purchase price. eBay would then send that tax money, that was part of the total that ebay had you pay, to your state.
We never see that money, so can't "refund" it. Even if you told us before you purchased the item, and sent us documentation to prove such exempt status, we as the seller have no way to stop eBay from adding state sales tax to what you bought. And even if you sent us documentation before or after the purchase, as some sellers have done with us in the past, and asked us either to refund the amount of tax paid, or if not yet paid, ask us to custom create an invoice that does not charge tax, our experience is that eBay will add tax anyway.
Some states may provide a way on your tax return forms to request a sales tax refund.
